Your Comprehensive Exam

We will review your medical history and discuss the reasons for your visit.  We want to know your goals and expectations, as well as any concerns you may have.  This information will guide Dr. Shaddix to personalize your visit and create a customized treatment plan just for you.  Scarlett has been with Dr. Shaddix for several years and will work with him during your examination. She is a registered dental assistant, friendly, bilingual, and very good at helping all our patients feel relaxed and comfortable.  That is very important to us.

Dr. Shaddix will conduct a thorough examination of your smile. He’ll examine your soft tissues for oral cancer, look for signs of gum disease, and conduct a tooth by tooth evaluation. He will also evaluate how your teeth fit together to determine if you have any bite-related problems. X-rays and photos will be taken to provide additional information about your teeth and gums and supporting structures. We will also record your blood pressure, a service we routinely provide to all our patients.

Your Treatment Plan

Dr. Shaddix will then review your x-rays and photographs with you and use the images to explain his findings and discuss treatment options that apply specifically to your needs and goals. Dr. Shaddix will answer all of your questions and work with you to determine a plan for a beautiful white smile and optimal oral health. When you decide the best treatment plan for you, the next visit can be scheduled before you leave the office.

Payment Methods

We accept cash, checks, major credit cards, most dental insurance plans, and offer special discounts to senior patients and for cash payments. Financing and 0% interest payment plans are available through Care Credit. Please see their website www.carecredit.com for details before your visit if you have time. Once you have selected the treatment plan that you want, Cathy will work with you to obtain the most convenient financing arrangement.
