Dr. Shaddix
Dr. J. W. "Sonny" Shaddix grew up in East Texas, graduated from the University of
Tennessee Dental College, served two years with the U.S. Navy, and then began a
private practice in Garland over thirty years ago. Married with four children and
eight grandchildren, his life is busy with many family related activities, as well
as being a high school varsity basketball referee for over twenty years. He has
donated his time for seven years at Mission East Dallas dental clinic, and
occasionally plays a little golf.
Over the years Dr. Shaddix has attended hundreds of hours of advanced continuing education courses and utilizes that information to keep his quality practice up to date with the latest in equipment and materials and modern techniques. His philosophy is to place a heavy emphasis on prevention and the option for patients to choose the type of treatment that best fits their needs and goals.
Cathy Warren
Cathy Warren has been working with Dr. Shaddix for over twenty-eight years. She has experience in all phases of dentistry and is the person who will greet you by name when you come to our office. Her responsibilities include scheduling appointments, handling insurance claims, and helping our patients with payment plans that fit their budget.
Scarlett Chavez
Scarlett Chavez has worked with Dr. Shaddix for over 5 years as an experienced registered dental assistant. She is a superb assistant who is bilingual, extremely friendly, and focuses on making sure that every patient feels relaxed and comfortable at every visit.
Pam Quill
Pamela Quill is our registered dental hygienist and also has worked with Dr. Shaddix for over eight years. Pam graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry and has enjoyed providing quality care for patients for over 23 years. She is extremely gentle and thorough and all our patients really appreciate that. We do offer modern conservative treatment for our patients who have early gum problems.
